2022 New York State Tourism Conference
Transformational Tourism Stewardship: Strategies & Implementation
April 20, 21 & 22 in Westchester, NY
Transformational tourism strategy is an exercise in the best kind of destination stewardship. It calls upon us to shape the future by leading change for the better in our organizations, our communities and our destinations. The further we look into the future, the more opportunities and possibilities to effect change for the better present themselves. Ultimately, transformational tourism stewardship will address the priorities and interests of both the resident and the visitor while maximizing benefit from the visitor economy.
The 2022 New York State Tourism Conference will encompass two parallel tracks addressing Transformation Tourism Stewardship in the context of both Destination Management and Destination Marketing.
- The focus in Destination Management will address strategies that embrace an expanded horizon for destination planning and strategy, aligning destination initiatives with both community and resident needs.
- Destination Marketing programming will address both technologies and techniques that facilitate strategic growth, identify new and emerging markets, enable better understanding of existing visitor populations and opportunities to improve or even reinvent the visitor experience.
