2023 NYS Tourism Excellence Awards Ceremony Hosted at Strong National Museum of Play

The 2023 NYS Tourism Excellence Awards honorees will be recognized during a special ceremony at the Strong National Museum of Play. After the ceremony, attendees are invited to join us for a private reception and exclusive access for "NYSTIA Game Night" at The Strong!

Bring your appetite and enjoy some of the best local fare Rochester has to offer! The team led by Executive Chef Karin Lapusnak at the Strong Museum of Play are excited to offer a wonderfully crafted Rochestrian menu. This menu is chalk full of local ingredients, flairs and favorites from the Rochester region:
FLX Cheese Station:
- Light cheese from First Light, Old Chatham, Muranda, and East Hill creameries,
- Charcuterie board with bread, olives, fruits, and other accouterments
Locals' Favorites:
Highlighting goodies from the Pierogi Guy and Amazing Grains Bakery
- Soft spent grain pretzels with a mustard trio and cheddar-n-ale fondue made with Genesee Cream Ale.
- Salt bread with whipped butters, boursin cheese, and gorgonzola pate.
- Sauteed cheesy spinach pierogies and fried crisp cheddar and potato pierogies, with roasted tomato basil and smoky chipotle aiolis, marinara, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and parmesan cheese
Slider Station:
- Rochester's own Zweigles White Hots and Red Hots with pickles, mustard, ketchup, tomato chutney, cheese, and Nick Tahou's Hot Meat Sauce
Carving Station:
- Herb-rubbed bistro filets carved to order with Dr. Frank's cabernet-laced demi-glaze
- Chicken French* with lemon sherry butter sauce (a Rochester original!)
- Red-skinned mashed potatoes
- Roasted vegetables
Dessert Station:
- Apple crisp made with local apples
- Grape pie
- Pittsford Creamery ice cream
